Baltimore's Creek Boyz Announce Debut Mixtape and Drop Two New Tracks

January 12, 2018 by WIHH

If Brockhampton is rap’s boy band, then Baltimore’s Creek Boyz is more like its Boyz II Men, punctuating their tales of trap triumph and tribulations with rich, multi-part harmonies. It’s like if your hometown church choir sang about securing the bag.

In an interview with Noisey, the quartet announced their upcoming 1:11 mixtape, due out on March 2, and premiered two new tracks that will only intensify their buzz going forward. “Trap Digits” is warm and soulful, in the wheelhouse of their breakout single “With My Team,” but more concerned with celebration rather than pure survival. “Loco” is decidedly icier, with more understated vocal parts and a staccato Atlanta-inspired cadence.

Since signing to 300 Entertainment in May 2017, the group’s output has been fairly scarce, save for a Lil Yachty-assisted “With My Team” remix that premiered on Complex in December. Now, the group is committed to putting together a solid body of work that showcases the full range of their talents and unique sound.
