Beezy’s Top 10 Beat Tapes of 2011 – What Iz Hip Hop

December 23, 2011 by kinge

Here are my personal favorite top 10 Beat/Instrumental tapes of this year.  Hope you all enjoy, hit me up on twitter @beezy430 and let me know your thoughts.   Also to find out how and where to get these beat tapes, make sure you click on the artist and title in BOLD letters.

Cashby – Destruction Without Distraction

A fan of Deadendhiphop hit me up and ask me to check out his beats. Man I was impress and more so how young he was too.  Gave him a shoutout on Deadendhiphop during the HipHopMinute segment.  So I have to put this in my top 10 for this year.

I’m Trumaine – Epic Title: One Day

This beat tape here was something serious.  I really can here some of my favorite emcees over some of these beats.  Would like to see dude in action at the beat battles he always tweet about LOL.

Eric G – Stars & Lights

Dope beat maker from the Jamla Camp aka The Soul Council.  For me whenever a jamla artist released an album or EP, I always check out how many tracks he produced and check for those songs first LOL.  Dude is nice on the boards.

Pajozo – Pajozo Instrumentals Vol. 1

Come on now I wasn’t going to leave out the man behind the Deadendhiphop sound.  Would like to thank Pajozo for allowing us to use his beats for our Deadendhiphop show.  Really appreciate what you do for DEHH.  Beats are also banging by the way, people always comment about the music on our webisodes.

Nameless Beats – The Dusty Pads EP

If you like hard drums that knock with whatever kind of sound rather soulful, synths, or just weird samples LOL.  Nameless is that dude, he dropped this earlier this year and the replay value as been high with this joint.  I’m waiting on that Beats Original Vol 3!!!

14KT – 14KillaTape

The title of this alone had me interested and anxious to hear this beat tape and it didn’t let me down not one bit.  If you not up on 14KT you really need to slap yourself seriously, hopefully big things will happen for him in the future because people been sleeping on this beat maker for too long now.

Oddisee – Odd Seasons

Man this guy here is really talented, still have me going crazy with The Traveling Man beat tape.  I love the concept for each of his projects, very creative this is another one of those (if you dont know about him slap yourself) producers that keeps my interests everytime I his credit for production.

Tall Black Guy – Hollyweird 2.0

This joint is a MUST HAVE!!!!! I always describe his beats as perfect beats to listen to while your studying LOL.  A perfect mix of jazz/hiphop/neo-soul sound.  If you looking for that please download everything he have on his bandcamp website.

Apollo Brown – Clouds

From my hometown Detroit this guy here leaves me speechless sometimes.  He also produced one of the albums I had in my top 5 for 2011 “Daily Bread” the entire album as well as one of my top 3 of 2010 “The Left – Gas Mask” . I know the late great J Dilla is smiling down on Apollo Brown keep doing your thing.

Oddisee – Rock Creek Park

Words can’t express how much I really loved this instrumental album.  It almost made it into my top 5 of 2011.  Oddisee  was the only dude on this list that made it twice with two outstanding releases.  The sound he created with this one is amazing, I can repeat this album anytime anywhere no matter what mood I’m in.

There you have it folks hope you ladies and gents go check out these beat tapes/instrumental albums its really worth your dime and your time. Some of these joints are released for free so you can’t be that folks.
